2017 SEMI-FINALISTS - Two lists - scroll down page for second list

Congratulations to all the contestants moving on to the Semi-Final. You were all so very good!! This was a very close competition round with hard decisions having to be made by the judges as to who to move on. We are looking forward to the Semi-Final & we hope you are, too. Remember to have fun, but also follow ALL the rules.
For those who are not moving on, we hope you are not discouraged. Keep singing & honing your skills to become better performers, and come back next year. Most importantly, choose songs that your voice can handle & have fun while you’re on stage. The songs that you like may not be the best choice for you.

Semi-finalists, remember you are required to stay for the whole show. Please sit together in the contestant section during the competition. Those who sing last are there for you who sing first, so singers who go first must stay until the end - have fun & cheer each other on. You can start sending your song request text to Ed Lisenbey at 8:00 AM sharp Monday morning - March 6. First come, first serve. Also be thinking about your two Championship Final songs. You can give these to Ed at the same time, if you wish.  If you have any questions, or need help on song selections (what song is best to fit your voice, etc.), don't hesitate to call Ed. Choose a song that you can sing well!

IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!

CONTESTANTS - PLEASE REMEMBER TO KEEP YOUR SONG PERFORMANCES AS CLOSE TO THE ORIGINAL ARTISTS AS POSSIBLE. WASHINGTON STATE NASHVILLE COUNTRY STAR LIKES THE SOUND AND STYLING OF THE TRADITIONAL CLASSIC COUNTRY AND CLASSIC ROCK-N-ROLL SONGS. A FEW PERSONAL TOUCHES IS ACCEPTABLE, BUT DO NOT CHANGE THEM TO THE MODERN DAY VERSIONS OF THE OLD SONGS OR YOU MAY INCUR DEDUCTIONS. YOU CAN ONLY SELECT SONGS FROM OUR APPROVED LISTS - NO OTHERS

Our venue for the Semi-Final will be at the Okanogan Virginia Grainger Elementary School on Saturday, March 18th. This is our 50s & 60s night so dress accordingly (to the part) that fits your song. Girls - poodle skirts or 50s & 60s, 70s style clothing and dresses. Boys - jeans, white t-shirts, Levi &/or leather jackets, slacks & sweaters. (Bobby Darin, Paul Anka, Fabian for example wore suits).  We are not requiring you to spend a lot of money, but do the best you can to fit the part you're "playing." You can go to second-hand stores to find outfits. We have a few poodle skirts if needed. Just let me (Leslie) know ASAP so we can discuss it. We have a costume rental in Omak if you need to utilize it.  If you have any questions, or need help don't hesitate to contact Leslie ASAP.
